Honors Program

Academic excellence, research, service, and application-based honors learning.

The Santa Fe College Honors Program fosters academic excellence and extracurricular enrichment among highly motivated, intellectually curious, creative learners.

Overview

The Honors Program is an academic program in which students and faculty collaborate as partners in a learning process that takes place within and beyond the classroom.

Honors classes provide greater autonomy and educational opportunities that are unique, engaging, creative, challenging, and exciting.

How the program works

Outside the classroom, Honors students work closely with faculty and peers in research, service, development, and preprofessional activities.

The program supports students and professors as a community that helps each member maximize their potential and grow academically, personally, and professionally.

Application cycle

Applications are holistic and intended to show a student's individual strengths.

The program follows an annual application cycle with new students admitted for each Summer, Fall, and Spring term.

Applications for the spring 2026 term are currently closed, and a redesigned application form for future semesters will open in January 2026.
